New #1 recommendation

I got my Nabalis Canyon 2 days ago and couldn't be happier. For less than the price of a Squiddy, you get an absolute TANK. It's a little heavier than I'm used to, but it feels good. Flipping it feels and sounds incredible, and being made of stainless steel makes me feel like I can bring it everywhere and flip over concrete as much as I want without worrying about destroying it. It's super smooth and came with a maintenance kit if anything does happen. I would recommend this as the absolute best first balisong to anyone looking to get into the hobby or learn any tricks.

My one and only issue with it is that the "Nabalis" logo looks like it was written in Arial and just slapped on. I'd like to see the proper logo in any future revisions.

Really good steal for 45$. It’s handle heavy and a little cumbersome feeling but expected since it’s not aluminum, flips pretty good especially if you prefer heavier balisongs with a lot of momentum. Great for rollovers and chaplains. The design and finish are excellent for the price imo, and mine came really well tuned.

Had it for a few hours and can already tell it flips better than the vulp

The Canyon is on the heavier side but if you like that momentum and weight behind your flipping this is a perfect trainer! As for quality it’s good quality for a $60 price point still has a little wiggle but you can get it gone with some tuning. Over all I love this trainer and for a practice knife or for a first buy would highly recommend.

Smooth and Well Weighted

The end is a bit pointy, but the blade itself cannot cut you, it is great for tricks with an effortless smoothness. Overall pretty good starting point, other items like the Wing are great for more intermediate users
