Overall have really enjoyed my time with the wing so far. Durability wise I have noticed no issues, dropped on hard surfaces a few times and no damage or marks at all. Flips great, looks great, very happy!
Yes, the balisong definitely feels sluggish… til you put some lube on it. Feels great after that. Definitely one of the best budget trainers, and it looks sick with the false edge. Probably wouldn’t recommend as your first balisong (unless you just wanna tough it out) since the very top can be a bit pointy so if you try going for too much like an aerial and catch it weird it might poke you a little bit. Realistically it’s fine though for any ability. The blade and handle design is also super cool. It also comes with a t10 screw head (the star shape for balisong screws) which is super super nice for when you’re tuning your balisong as it’s slightly angled so you can basically just push it through the hole for the bushings and washers and get them perfectly aligned really easily. On top of that, the balisong is pinless (doesn’t have zen pins) so when you need to tune the bushings or take it apart in general, you don’t have to worry about them, and also means there’s one less thing that needs locktite. The only bad thing about this balisong (which other reviews also mentioned) was that the handles can have small blemishes on the inside. You’ll never feel it since they’re only in spots where you can’t reach anyway, and they don’t change your flipping at all, but it’s just something to know before buying. I tried taking a picture of the blemishes below, you can see that they’re only on the parts of the handle that you’ll never use anyway, and keep in mind that this is still a budget balisong, and it’s really good value for its price, especially over other Balisongs I’ve seen for more on Amazon that are awful. It was also able to ship to Australia without any concerns, so don’t worry about it not getting through customs due to the blade.
very good build quality, flips very well, balance is almost perfect and factory tune is very nice. almost unusable without locktite, which is fairly standard especiallyat this price range. only complaint is that it doesnt come with extra zen pins.
