Why are we incorporating aluminum extrusion technology into butterfly knives? It all started when we noticed that traditional CNC machining resulted in excessive material waste. Determined to find a solution, an idea struck Aaron, our founder, while he was leisurely watching his wife decorate a cake.
Using piping tips for cake decorations can create perfect shapes without wasting any materials. It was truly impressive!
That's when we asked ourselves, can we apply the same concept to butterfly knives? After extensive research, we discovered a similar manufacturing process widely used in the production industry—Aluminum Extrusion. This process operates on the same principle as cake piping, and we decided to give it a try.
Here's how it works: We heat the raw material until it becomes malleable, then feed it into the extrusion machine. From there, we perform cutting, correcting, straightening, and divide the material into smaller pieces, followed by CNC machining.
The result? The extruded handle already possesses the basic contours, including grooves and chamfers. Only minimal processing is needed to achieve the final product shape. We then apply conventional surface finishing techniques, and voila! The aluminum extruded handle is complete!
Isn't it amazing? Not only have we significantly reduced material waste, but we've also achieved impressive precision. WHy not start your journey with the Extrusion now?
